I had been calling since end of March to have a quote on a residential seawall installed. In late May I noticed they were doing work for a local wealthy business man about half a kilometre away. On my next phone call where again I was told someone would come out soon but they have been busy. I told them without being rude that I know they are working just a short distance away and that if residential jobs are too small or not worth their time let me know and I will stop calling. I was assured that no job is too small and that someone would be out. So after about 3 months Paul came out or so he says, on the phone he asks what I am looking for? I told him the only type I thought was allowed would be a steel seawall. Leads me to believe he never step foot in my yard. Then he asks, well when are you looking at having this done? I told him I am looking at quotes at this point. He says you are looking at 300 a foot. I asked how much just for labour if I provide the materials. Paul fires back "I can get steel cheaper then you can" I said ok but he is about 50 dollars more a foot then another local company. He replies then go with them, you are calling us at the busy time of the season. I point out that I have been calling since March and that yeah I would go with the other company based on this response.
